Wasaga Beach Will Get New Splash Pad This Summer

This summer Wasaga Beach is going to have a new Splash Pad area for the kids and the kids at heart. The Splash Pad will be an automated interactive water play area located next to the Dardanella Beach Bar at the corner of Beach Drive and 1^st Street in Beach Area 1.

Combining safety and wet and wild fun, Splash Pads are a great way of letting kids cool off without safety worries. Built on a flat playing surface water drains free eliminating the need for lifeguard supervision.

The projected date for the Opening of this new Splash Pad is the end of June 2008.

The hours of operation will be from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. daily.

The Wasaga Beach Splash Pad will have change rooms and lockers that will be available during the hours of operation.

The Splash Pad starts when a child pushes the button to enter the area where brightly, primary-coloured spray features produce different sprinkler-like effects. It is designed to maximize water effects while minimizing water consumption.
